Organizational Milestones
- August, 2003 — The Hoffen Foundation is formed and is incorporated in Texas
- October, 2003 — Fundraising begins with the 1st Hoffen Foundation Annual Charity Golf Tournament
- April, 2004 — Hoffen Foundation receives 501.C.3 status
- September, 2004 — Hoffen Foundation lands the support of the Central Hockey League
- October, 2004 — CHL/Hoffen Foundation start the “Caps for Courage” campaign
- September, 2005 — Program expansions bring children from area hospitals to Texas Ranger baseball and Dallas Stars hockey games
- November, 2005 — The Hoffen Foundation teams up with the Square D Company to provide electrical equipment and other assistance to repair the Ronald McDonald House in New Orleans, LA after Hurricane Katrina
- January, 2006 — Director Tim Zemens is awarded the Thomas Barry award for the charity work associated with the Central Hockey League
- November 2008 — The Hoffen Foundation rolls out a scholarship fund to support kids with a history of extensive hospital stays. With support from the Wolford family, the scholarship was named after Dillon Wolford, a young man who lost his battle for life at the age of 23. Dillon had been a hockey player in the Dallas area and an inspiration to many with his bravery, smile and attitude
- December 2009 — The Hoffen Foundation celebrates donating over $125,000.00 to various charities and programs since conception
- September 2010 — The Hoffen Foundation launches its 1st Annual Little Black Dress Party, a fundraising success that allowed Hoffen to further Give Children a Ray of Hope
- July 2011 — The Hoffen Foundation sponsored the Night of Superstars program
- November 2011 — The Hoffen Foundation donates the first “Rover”, a sensory devise used to calm children undergoing treatment, to Cook Children’s Hospital
- December 2014 — First Christmas event sponsored by Hoffen for the children of Jonathon’s place, complete with presents, food, entertainment and Santa Claus, who flew in on a police helicopter to deliver the presents
- January 2015 — Hoffen goes to the Theatre — The Hoffen Foundation sponsored an event in which supporters bought tickets which allowed the foundation to bring children to a performance at the Eisemann Center
- April 2016 – Hoffen Adopts A Spot - Every second Saturday of the month Hoffen Foundation donates time through the Adopt-A-Spot program. The goal is to remove litter from our adopted road on Green Oaks Drive in Arlington, Texas. Another way the Hoffen Foundation continues to “give children a ray of hope” by keeping the community clean for their future.
- July 2017 – Hoffen hosts it's first Kids Art Day - Hospitalized children at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth enjoyed a fun filled day painting on canvas! This program was the first ever for both Cook Children's and Hoffen. It was a great program that stimulated children’s imaginations and provided them an opportunity to engage in activities they may otherwise not experience.
